I forgot to post this a few days ago, but when I went to the airport either Tuesday or Wednesday, I was sure that I saw a KLM 777 instead of the 744. Does anyone know if this is true or I am I sniffin too much glue

I thought the 777 was being used on the AMS-YYZ run. I think there is another route that they use it on, however I can't remember off the top of my head.

KLM uses the 777 to YYZ and CPT until end of december when they change YYZ for NBO and use a new 777 for JFK.
After that new 777 will fly to NRT, DUB and GRU
Hope that will give you info enough!

artysman man asked whether or not KL flew the 777 to IAH earlier this week. He did not ask where it was scheduled to fly.

...there are a over 10,000 airline buffs on this site but from what I can see 9,980+ tend to be much younger and their only concern is if they are going to have a PTV while flying to Grandma's house that is 1-2 hours away on the latest LCC and question why the fare can't be lower. - a.net user

I am thinking Tuesday or Wednesday, so either the 18th or 19th. I flew in from London on Monday... (storm night) so it wasn't Monday. I dropped my girlfriend at the airport on Tuesday and picked my mother up at the airport on Wednesday, so it was one of those two days. Whatever the case, I saw it from a distance, and there were only two wing engines, not four, but I couldn't see the tail from where I was as it may have been a MD-11 also

according to all my info it should have been a 74E, first 777 is used daily to YYZ
Second one is flying to CPT, Maybe they had some space to send that one to IAH but couldn't find any evidence.... If they did, for sure it was a one time thing.....

Mdutch,
DUB as in Dubai....
Just for your information, Dubai is DXB. DUB is Dublin.
As far as the KLM 777 in Houston. It is possible, but highly unlikely. MD-11 sounds more reasonable, but surprising none the less. IAH is a big cargo market so I would imagine KLM makes quite a bit of money on the 747 Combi aircraft. Re-positioning a non Combi plane would really make things difficult for them I would imagine. Though KLM has been doing a lot of substitutions lately, DEL is one example. It is suppose to be a combi but hardly gets any these days, its mostly been a full 743 pax configured aircraft.

Impossible on Wednesday (unless the third 777 is making test flights in the US prior to delivery) as one 777 should have been in YYZ on Wednesday and the other one went on Wednesday to Cape Town.
