Do CO and NW have any more Boeing 757-300s on order for Boeing? If so, will those remaining be canceled from production in 2004?

IIRC, CO and NW will complete their 753 deliveries for existing orders, i.e. before Boeing shuts down the line. It's not like they haven't ordered them yet. Also, I believe CO converted some of those orders to 738s.

In 2000 CO ordered 15 757-300s, to date they have taken delivery of 4.

They wanted to defer the rest of the deliveries untill 2005 and later, however Boeing decided to shut down the line.

So CO will take delivery of 5 more 757-300s which are already in production, the 6 outstanding orders have been converted to 6 additional 737-800 orders.

So CO will have a fleet of 9 757-300s when all is finished, the 6 737-800s were tagged onto an existing order for the type.

NW operates at least 15 B753... the fleet numbers on their website and certificate (http://av-info.faa.gov/OpCert.asp) indicate this. I'm pretty sure the sixteenth and final ship was delivered and those sites have yet to be updated, but if it hasn't, it'll be done within a couple weeks (not into 2004).

(CO) wanted to defer the rest of the deliveries untill 2005 and later, however Boeing decided to shut down the line.

CO didn't want to take delivery of any of their remaining B753 on order, but several ships were too far into production.

5 x 753 for Continental
5 x 752 for Shanghai
1 x 752 for Air 2000

CO cancelled its last 6 753's on order and changed them to 6 x 738's. This was announced on OCT 16th.
