I have a quick question about CO's stand by policy. I am flying from PHX-EWR next Wed afternoon for Thanksgiving. I thought I was going to have class on Wed so I booked my flight at 4:05 but it turned out to be cancelled. If I get to the airport early do they normally let you go stand by for earlier flights? I really want to get on the 9:05am to EWR. I know its going to be tough due to Thanksgiving but is there a way that I can find out the night before what my chances of getting a seat on either the 9:05 or 11:30 flight? Any help would be great.. Thanks..

The 9:05 flight is booked to 107/124 and the 11:50 is booked to 124/150 as of roght now so there is a chance you can get on as leisure travlers usualy book weeks in advance. As for the stand-by policy, they dont usually give you a hassle about getting you on as you are getting out of the system. They however would put you after the employees so you would be at the end of the list.
