I just booked some tickets on Hawaiian Airlines to HNL for next June. I am obviously flying the 767 and was wondering if they have standardized the interiors with the new 777 styled bins, and new seats. Also, what is a good seat on their a/c? Which a/c have the new interiors? Thanks for your help.

I believe all of HA's 767s were delivered new from Boeing, and should all feature the same "777-style" interior.

HA has several aircraft that were acquired second-hand and do not have the B777-style interior.

What is the 777 style interior? I thought 777's had PTV's.

I can't comment on the bins, that photo you have there will probably be your best bet at that info.

I can tell you that all of Hawaiian's 767s are leased, and all of them are second hand. As a result some aircraft interiors and seat pitch vary. I've heard that some HA passengers had the 32" pitch, others in coach had different pitch, so it all depends.

Ha763 will be your best source of info, when he replies.  Smile

Aircraft 580-586 have the old interiors. Even though aircrafts 580, 581, and 582 were delivered new, they were ordered before the new interiors were available. Aircraft 587-593 have the new 777-style interiors.

COEWRNJ, just look at the pictures in the first post. The 777-style interior means that the aircraft has the same type of OHBs, curved ceilings, and lighting as the 777. The 767 and 747-400ER come with the 777-style interiors.

Do 583-586 still have the leather LTU seats?

508-582 and 587-593 were all delivered now; 583-586 are ex-LTU.

I love the HA interiors. They look so nice. I have never flown on a 767 before.

583-586 still have the LTU interiors and should still have the LTU IFE system. The last time I flew on one, they had the inflight map cycling between English and German, Imperial and Metic.

I have been on all three interiors and my opinion was that the ex-LTU aircraft had the better coach seats. I found the ones on the new built aircraft to be a bit hard (I also found the same to be true on the CO 767). As for first class, the seats are comparable, with the new builds being a bit better comfort wise, but a pain to operate. Also, avoid the window seats in row 1 on the ex-LTU aircraft. The bulk head is closer to the seats than the other aircraft. I was able to put my feet up on the bulkhead and my knees were still bent. On the other aircraft, I could just reach the bulkhead with my toes.

As for a good seat, you can't really go wrong on a 767.

Actually, I didn't like the seats on the LTU planes. I found the shape of the back to be uncomfortable.
