I was just watching PHL's live video feed when I noticed an Air China 744 in what looks like the E Concourse. Does anyone have any info on this?

The 747 was flight 981 PEK-JFK, which mosty likely got diverted to PHL due to fog in the NYC area.

no listing of an Air China flight arriving in PHL on flytecomm. However there was a AA 777 and a BA 763. Surprising because the weather here in Philly isn't too great either

Damn I would've loved to be down on Hog Island Rd today and got some pictures of these babies coming in.

Well.. I guess that explains it. I was out to lunch at about 2:30 when I saw an LH 747 coming in on final. So I quick grabbed my scanner and tuned to final approach and heard it was LH 8164 heavy. I thought it was extremely odd because the last time I saw a LH 747 here was years ago. I knew it wasn't a schedualed flight to to PHL because the crew kept asking the frequency for the ILS to 27R!  Big thumbs up DAMMIT! Why couldn't I have been off of work today.. I would've loved to have been over there..

Would the BA B763 be the one going to BWI?

Now only if PHL could draw this kind of traffic on a regularly scheduled basis  Sad

Was the wx up in NYC also that bad? (of course, since the CCA B744 diverted to PHL - what the heck would it be doing in BWI?!)

surprisingly BWI only saw 2 Song 757's. BOS saw an Alitalia 777 and American 763 on its way to JFK from ZRH.

Worked that UA 777. If you saw it come in and leave you saw me on the jetway. Well, at least my small contribution. You actually can't see the jetjetway from the webcam its obscured by the plane. It was fligth 800 from NRT. Just a gas-n-go like most of those planes, but it sure did get exciting for a while.

Usairways85 you were correct Virgin Atlantic was a A340-600, besides BA67 which is regularly scheduled there was also BA175 LHR-JFK B744 and UA800 NRT-JFK 772.

UALPHLCS: The plane actually pulled up to the gate? I would have thought it would park at the old overseas terminal and be refueled there and wait until they had clearance to continue on to JFK.

PHL must have looked like quite an international airport yesterday.
