I lile the one in MAD. It has several strobes around the perimeter that makes it look like a flying saucer on a pedestal.

Where was it that they build an ATC tower, with the ATC bit at the bottom of the tower, then they sort of winched it up to the top ? It was fairly recently, maybe it was at MUC - I can't remember.

for the towers i've personally seen...my votes would go to LAX and IAD....though after looking at the pix of SYD's control tower i may have to rethink my choice :-P
