Probably their first new destination with an Airbus in a long time, also their fourth destination in Pakistan, capital of North West Frontier Province(NWFP, debate on to change name to something local, all sorts of weird suggestions have been put forward including the name of a deceased political figure), bordering Afghanistan, service is thrice weekly, twice from Jeddah once from Riyadh, nonstop.

SV also serve Karachi capital of province of Sindh with a 777-200(A300 previously), Lahore capital of province of Punjab with a 747-300(A300 previously) and Islamabad which is also in Punjab with 747-100 & 300.

Karachi is one of the few cities in the world connected directly to the Holy City of Madinah by the airline.

Their Islamabad service also caters to Chinese Muslims from neighbouring Xinjaing province.

Why do they still have their B 741s...isnt it too old and be gotten rid off and replaced by a few B 744s or at least used B 743s which are more efficient than the B 741s!!!

And whats the scoop of their A 300 being replaced eventually? I bet I see another sizeable B 7E7 order here replacing their AB3s.

Isn't it about time Saudi Arabian flies to Peshawar. What took them so long? Emirates has been flying there for a while now. Anybody know if Qatar Airways and Gulf Air fly there also?

Qatar Airways were the first to fly to PEW in '98 with the A300-600, now an A320, Gulf Air were there too with the A320, its now a Gulf Traveller 767.

I hope SV go for the A330-200 too, there are however no plans for their replacement yet.

Forgot to mention the service to PEW started on 27th Oct.
