Employees of the french regional airline Air Littoral burried the air line officially this morning in Montpellier.Downed by numerous mafia -style buy- out attempts like the latest from Azzurra Airlines ( bankrupt themselves and represented by a convicted mafia-linked member Mario Palmonella ).
Azzurra never paid a single penny despite multiple announcements advising a settlement of 11 Million Euros as defined by the commercial court.

After Aeris, Euralair, Air Jet, now FU...seems that there's now only Blue Line and Guichonair as the only non-AF afflilated airlines in France. What a shame.

Got an e-mail from Lufthansa this morning telling me they are ending their agreement with Air Littoral. I didn't even know they had one. As it seems the last satellites of the big Swissair-Qualiflyer are going down. BTW does anyone know what happened to those Flightline BAe 146 a/c that were flying for Swissair Express ?

@Konrad,
Air Littoral was a member of Miles & More since last (?) year or better 100% sure since January this year
and the BAe 146 of flightline - one is wet-leased to a business company the other (second) one I don't know (Croatia ?) http://www.flightline.ltd.uk/
and real sad for Air Littoral, it's definitly a shame

Jumbolino and Konrad,
Air Littoral had even much closer links with Lufthansa several years ago, making NCE virtually a LH hub (with many of their flights carrying a LH flight number, French domestic ones and services to Italy). This affair, however, came to an end, when SR stepped in.

It seems in France there is a deliberate policy to protect Air Chance by any means including delagating AF staff to run a competetive company like Air Liberté and run it deliberately into the ground .( has been openly admitted by Jean Corbet...). it would make a nice political thriller to investigate french aviation business....
