Did Thai Airways ever consider a route to Canada (Vancouver)? The market is here trust me on this one. The lion's share of the Canada - Thailand traffic now goes to Asiana Airlines which picks up canucks in Seattle and to JAL from Vancouver. I bet the route would be profitable.

I believe Air Canada operates the route(s) with a codeshare agreement with Thai.

Thai used to fly to YYZ on a BKK-NRT-SEA-YYZ routing with full fifth freedoms. At first with a 742/743. Then they based an A310 at SEA for the SEA-YYZ leg. The route lasted from 1988 to perhaps 1991.

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

It would be great if THAI considers flying to Canada.
Right now, they have code-share flights with AC through LHR. I don't know about the code-share flights out of NRT or HKG.

They are actually considering that. They want to fly to YVR and YYZ!

Anyway, there are code -share flights. But, I don't believe in code-share.  SadThose tickets are so expensive. Not so many people choose to fly.

Travellers'd better fly Asiana, JAL, China airlines, EVA, Cathay or Korean.

Let's just blame it on yields.
