I am flying from JFK to LHR on Sunday December 28 on VS 10. I know this flight is listed currently as being a 343. Does anyone know which airplane has been frequenting this route lately. In addition I have seen that on occasion it is swapped out for a 346. What are the chances that it will be changed to a 346 on December 28?

VS 010 LHR-JFK-LHR has been a A343 in recent weeks, but it could change to a 346 as last minute aircraft changes are not uncommon.

Over the last 3 months, 343's have flown that route 81% of the time. The 346 has made an appearance 16% of the time, and the remaining 3% it's been a 744.

If it's scheduled to be a 343, then it's likely to remain that way unless it goes technical.

It's currently planned on G-VFLY but that'll probably change. VS9/10 is usually a 340-300 but other equipment is occasionally substituted. For info VS3/4 is usually a 744 and VS45/46 is usually a 340-600.

Cheers

Hi Airchabum,

Do you know which aircraft is planned for the VS19 on the 3rd Jan, and VS20 on the 10th?

Thanks Airchabum.

Sabre suggests it will be a 744, although I had heard it was planned as a 343. And if G-VROC can get back from Dublin in time, I guess even she might make an appearance. Sometimes it can be very tricky getting accurate info!

Yes G-VROC should hopefully enter service today on VS1 LHR-EWR. The plan is for the 2 Upper Class Suite a/c to operate the VS3/4 JFK and VS19/20 SFO when things have settled down, so you may well get 'ROC on the way back.

Cheers

Airchabum,

G-VTOP operated the VS003 today as usual, but about 20 minutes after it's departure a VS B744 flew northwesterly over the airport. It looked as if it was following the landing path, just a little high, and plus there were no scheduled VS B744's to land at around this time (around 15:30). Plus, the winds changed round and i didn't see it land over head. When G-VTOP departed it made a quick sharp right hand turn towards the south and then carried on towards the west so it's unlikely it was that. I was just wondering if you know what it was doing/flying to. I must have left just before the Newark departure so i couldn't tell you if it was G-VROC. G-VGOA arrived from Tokyo, right over my head  Big thumbs up

-Stephen
