Initial EMB-170 Routes For US Airways?

Anyone venture to take a guess? They are slated to begin first quarter '04, barring any further delays from Embraer.....

I would imagine the EMB-170 being utilized on many routes out of PIT. Freeing up more planes for PHL and CLT operations.

I'd say a lot depends on the outcome of the PIT negoations, as that is where the MidAtlantic base is scheduled to be placed. Currently, Allegheny County and US Airways are in talks to extend the current lease, allowing more time to discuss debt relief.

On another note, I've heard the first route is scheduled to be CLT-STL. But again, it's just a rumor.

AGain I also have heard CLT-STL is the first route and reminder the EMB-170 is considered a mainline so it will not be US Airways express, so therefore, when the EMB-170 arrives it will be our first Mainline flight for awhile.

I wouldn't know specifics, but I believe whichever flights in the Northeast on either a 734 or a 733 that are half-full would seem a fair guess. Does anybody know if US has any "prestigious" routes besides the shuttle routes?

I'd put money on CLT-CLE. They flop between CRJs and 737s so I think a middleground is what they'll settle on.
