Just letting everyone know that VH-OEJ is back in service as of today!

Wunala Dreaming was involved in an incident with a tug a few weeks ago.

The aircraft is either operating QF1 via Bangkok OR QF5 via Singapore.

Sorry for not having the correct flight details. Just happy to see the aircraft is back in revenue service!

Certainly a great aircraft, I had the privilege of flying on her from LAX-SYD about a week or so after delivery.

Certainly is a nice aircraft!

It's going to be very interesting to see what happen's to Nalanji Dreaming! Would Qantas apply that scheme to a B744ER?

Nalanji should be around for another 5 or so years yet.

So OEJ didn't go to LAX today, has it been to LHR or FRA yet? Or SIN or BKK for that matter.

ZK-NBT

"Nalanji should be around for another 5 or so years yet".

"So OEJ didn't go to LAX today, has it been to LHR or FRA yet? Or SIN or BKK for that matter".

Yeah I'm aware of that, but would be nice to see the color scheme applied to a B744ER or maybe A380 in 2006!

Yeah, VH-OEJ departed this afternoon on the Kangaroo routes as either QF1 'SYD-BKK-LHR' or QF5 'SYD-SIN-FRA'. I would put my money on QF1 'SYD-BKK-LHR'. I'm not sure why the aircraft wasn't placed on the 'SYD-LAX' route. I wish I could help you there ZK-NBT.

Hope the information helps out.

The ERs don't come to FRA.

The ER's are very rarely used on the Kangaroo Route all together!

I had a feeling that the aircraft departed as QF1.

Hope to see the aircraft back in Sydney soon! More than likely would be back on Sunday morning.

Wunala Dreaming is a great plane, i love the c/s.
But can anybody tell me why QF changed plane (from OJB to OEJ) ?

The B744ERs are hardly used on the kangaroo but they were sen in FRA and LHR before... so I guess they do fly there, but only once in a while.

Man if Qantas could change the interiors of the B744 to those of the B744ERs it would be great isn't it!

If an ER lands at FRA it's got lost!
Been here twice, maybe thrice, and only because of last minute hiccups with the scheduled aircraft. None of the engineers here can certify it.

I think that VH-OJB was due for a maintenance check & Qantas decided to apply the normal color scheme to the aircraft.

VH-OEJ was a last minute aircraft change yesterday afternoon.

Well FRA is a 2 class service now anyway, but 3 class aircraft will sub from time to time and even an ER.

Like AKL no 3 class service for QF now ex AKL, all the ER's have been here except OEJ which was surposed to come a couple of weeks back but was hit by 'that tug'.

I heard that OJB actually was stripped of the Wunala colours for a D check in 2002, they were then reapplied only for QF to decide that they would paint an ER instead, it was a rather costly little move, I believe it was because OJB was to go 2 class and Nalanji (743) already flew to alot of the ports, so OEJ was painted so that more of the world would be able to see an Aircraft that really represents Australia's true Beauty.

I may have it entirerly wrong but i'm sure it was something along those lines.
