What is the cheapest RETURN airfare you have had, including all taxes and charges?

Please include, where possible, the airline, route and, of course, the price.

 Wink/being sarcastic Cheers.  Wink/being sarcastic

Hmmm...had to think about this one.

Airtran, when still in Toledo, had a very good return trip posting on their website. Including taxes, for three people $289. Then we did their upgrade for $25 a person, making it a very, very cheap first class fare.

One of the few advantages of being a travel agent was...well, once in a while you could get a hell of a deal.

My first trip from Detroit to Las Vegas was on an American Trans Air L-1011....it was booked through one of the many tour companies that we used...and the return fare was....$25.00.

The round trip was $50.00.

You had to apply for this agent rate in advance....you did not know if you would be confirmed until 2 or 3 days prior to departure...and, of course, you had to go during an off-peak period. I had to go the second week of Jan, 1994. It snowed....I didn't care.

That's odd: normally you don't have to pay any charge for using your Switch card. Still, at £2 you can't go wrong! LOL!

XJRamper,

a switch card is a debit card for a bank account, i.e. when u pay for goods with it the money is taken out of ur account straight away, as opposed to credit cards where u borrow the money and get a bill at the end of the month.

Ryanair.com at this very moment charge you SEK 1,- (!) (that's about 0,11 Euro or 0,12 USD) Stockholm-Paris if you wanna go mid January. Sounds like a reasonably good fare to me....... (You have to add on a couple of ten's in airport taxes of course, but anyway...)

Believe it or not the cheapest airfare I ever paid was with Ryanair from Eindhoven, The Netherlands to London Stansted. Left on a Monday and returned the next day and I paid 0,02 for airfare. That's right 2 Eurocents for a return trip. With the taxes, the total price was approx 28 Euros.

There seem to be loads of cheap deals on the LCCs in Europe (e.g. 50p, SEK1 etc.) but having searched for fares on the likes of AirTran, JetBlue and even Southwest they seem quite expensive. Do the American carriers have $1 offers and the like very often (if at all)?

Mine has to be with my favourite airline Ryanair. I booked the flights last week for travel on Jan 7th to Jan 9th on their Dublin to Brussels Charleroi route.

The total cost of the return flight was 12 EURO (incl all taxes).

That to me is unbelievable value so think twice before you slag off Ryanair and their vast fleet of state of the art aircraft and young, hard working, friendly crew.

Let's see ... this isn't really a "return," but I flew Ryanair Stansted-Oslo(Torp)-Stockholm(Skavsta) for about $70. I then took the train to Copenhagen, and flew back Malmo-Stansted; that leg was $38. So that entire trip, with taxes, cost $108.

In the US, I was once able to regularly fly DAL-MAF round-trip for $106, including taxes.

For a longer-distance flight, right after 9/11 I flew AA AUS-BWI round-trip for $111, including taxes. Per mile, I don't think I've ever seen a better fare.
