I just got found out with jetBlue is used with the terminal E in BOS and will be use departs and arrive, too. It is on the list of the massport pages. So what are you think about jetBlue will start nonstop out of BOS? I am looking forward to hear from them. I am not sure what is the gate numbers will be used at the terminal E either. So can you guys please have find out about exactly will use at the gates number. Thanks!

Yes, Terminal E is the IAB at BOS. In order for the NW-CO-DL deal to go through the government stipulated that each airline have a certain number of turn-arounds on each of their gates (or, actually I believe it was an average for all gates) per day or they would be forced to give up a certain number of gates. Northwest was the only airline that didn't fulfil the requirement. As a result jetBlue will be going into Terminal E. This also makes sense considering that Terminal E is the only terminal with a decent amount of counter space. AirTran also picked up an additional gate due to this clause. I would imagine that B6 will move to Terminal C once renovations on A are done next year. It remains to be seen whether or not CO and NW will be going with DL but due to the fact that there are no FIS facilities (a terrible mistake, IMO) at the new A, it is foreseen that AF, AM, and AZ will not be joining their SkyTeam partner in their new home. My assumption is that B6 will use gates 1B, C, and possible D as well, although I believe at the present they have only received 2 gates and with Northwest being extremely reluctant to give away more of their gates I don't foresee B6 or FL getting any more in the near future.

LH423: it was my understanding that airtran's added gate was not the result of northwest not fulfilling its obligations. airtran operates out of terminal d, and picked up a gate that was being used for charter services. this is nowhere near terminal e. i think it is great that jetblue operate out of terminal e, i hope they stay there. terminal e was just renovated and is extremely efficient, not to mention very passenger friendly, unlike the rest of logan.
so, will northwest now operate out of the new delta terminal a?

If memory serves, PeoplExpress used Terminal D until being absorbed by Texas Air; that's probably why it was so busy in the 1980's. Alitalia's check-in counters were in Terminal D until the Terminal E renovations were completed (actually, they might have moved a few months before that). For now, only AirTran and charters depart from Terminal D (and the ambience of that area is somewhere between bus station and gas station bathroom). Terminal D has three gates which are all connected (behind security) by a bridge to Terminal E; the numbering of the gates in Terminal D (1C, 1D, 1E) is linked to the Terminal E gate numbering (1A, 1B).
I wouldn't call (even though Massport does it) what's happening to Terminal A "renovations." Complete demolition and construction of an entirely new structure would be more accurate. Without FIS facilities, it's unlikely that AZ, AF, or AM (or even KE if it were to return to BOS) will move to Terminal A, though AF's flights departed from Terminal C until recently. As an aside, it's a blessing that AF no longer departs from C, since that added several hundred passengers every afternoon trying to go through a security checkpoint which is still woefully inadequate without the extra passengers. Hopefully the design of the new Terminal A includes enough space for about 8 lanes at security. My guess is that CO, at least, will go with DL (back) to Terminal A, since they're both codesharing very extensively out of BOS. It's less clear what will happen with NW. Then again, CO might well stay in Terminal C to limit the number of gates available to jetBlue. There might well be little point in that if US Airways fails; that would make nearly 20 jet gates in Terminal B available at the airport.
