The Boeing 747 is one of the most graceful giants in the sky. It looks good in almost any livery in my opinion. If you had to choose one livery for the 747, which airline would you choose? Merry Christmas.

I don't know if I can stick with just one! Narrowing it down the best I can, I'd have to say:
There are many others that strike me as beautiful on a 747 of any series, but those stand out to me. Of course, ask me tomorrow and I may have a different opinion!

1. Cathay Pacfic's 'Hong Kong: Asia's World City' 744
2. Royal Jordanian (current scheme - when the flew the 742s)
3. Avianca Colombia (the old big red scheme)

Maybe it's just me, and I may be biased because I work for the airline... but..
I think the 747 with the best paint colors was UAL. (The white with Red & Blue insignia) .. Although since they have painted too the blue that we see today, I dont like it ...
I was also truly biased towards the looks of the 747-400s in BA's World Tails. I loved the Chelsea Rose and the Ndebele Emmly/Matha schemes. The Union Jack doesn't look bad at all though.

I have to agree with Goose.
The final short-lived Canadian (see above) is hands down my pick for best paint scheme on a 747. Stellar!

I like the British airways livery of the 1980's and the old Pan Am livery.

I always loved UAs old white colors on the 747, especially on the 400.

I like the current VS livery on their 747-400's.
However, the older livery on their 744's was nothing to write home about:

Three's a charm for Wunala. I'll kick myself if I never get to see her in person...
But...QF's standard scheme is a timeless classic. it WAS a timeless classic, as well. Who woulda thought red and white could be so...so...hmm can't think of a word . And with a hint of gold from the 80s, I would think it's a bit guady. Not at all!
