Hi to y'all-

I found out that OAG January 2004 shows that SAA will change from B747-400 to A340-600 between Cape Town and Atlanta. I found that only B747-400 is Korean Airlines in Atlanta.

SAA's 6th and 7th A340-600 delivery dates from Airbus have been delayed for some reason. ZS-SNF was supposed to arrive on 20 Dec and ZS-SNG on 30 Dec, don't know the new arrival dates.

As a result, it looks like A346's will only commence services to ATL on 30 Jan 2004 and not 01 Jan as previously planned.

Isn't the KE flights to ATL a continuation of the IAD flight?

Is the A346 going to be able to do the flight non-stop in both directions, all-year or?

no, the 346 will have a fuel stop westbound just like the 744. However, eastbound it operates ATL/JNB and ATL/CPT nonstop.

KE is nonstop ICN-ATL-ICN, flt 035/036. The flights have previously routed via ORD, IAD, and DFW. Aircraft varies between B772ER and B744.

Sad to hear that Springbok is bringing the 346. My mornings won't be the same without seeing a sparkling clean -400 tail sitting at E14.
