Drinking In The Bahamas

I will be flying to the Bahamas from LAX (via FLL) and was wondering what the drinking age is in the Bahamas. Also, what are the odds that I'll be able to drink on the flight? Thanks for your help.

It's supposed to be 21, but the judgement call is really just the flight attendant who is serving you...

I know that its 21 for flying in the US, but what about for flying out of the Bahamas? Also, what about while I'm staying in the Bahamas? Anyone know? I assume its 18 becasue they are part of the Commonwealth and that seems to be the standard age. Thanks

Flying on a US carrier period it's supposed to be 21. Just like what Jkw777 said, as long as you look somewhat old enough, I'm sure no one will care. Push come to shove, ask someone next to you to buy you a drink.

more than likely it will be a judgement call... my friend flew to Bahamas on UsAir and he was not served... I flew to Australia this summer on Qantas out of LAX and they had no problem serving all 120 of us... the drinking age in the bahamas (as with australia) is 18...

when you're flying, i don't know...whenever i have been to the bahamas it has always been from LAX with AA through MIA.

by the way...the gambling age is also 18 in the bahamas!

You must visit the Atlantis....it is simply amazing.

The casino there is best casino i have ever been to in my life. I have not been to monte carlo but it is much better than las vegas? Why? Because the Atlantis Casino has windows all around it where you can see the sea and you have these waitresses coming around serving you exotic mixed drinks...yummy. In vegas...the casinos are closed off there is no view and it smells like cigar smoke. Which is fine with me as i am a smoker but the lack of view is certainly noticeable if you've just come back from the bahamas.
