As the topic states, does anyone know the fate of the aircraft? Are there any photos of the damage? I beleive the DL MD-11s are going to be retired in the next week or two. Any info is appreciated.

Thanks

Ahh, Ndebele, another wise comment from you...I guess you've seen this many times in your long and star-studded check-in counter career?  Insane

Anyway...I have to ask....what's your source?  Big grin

I have never herd anything so ridiculous, Why would 7 people light a plane on fire that they are still in??? Im sure the jump out of the window was just an added bonus! Damn people!

HAVE A GREAT DAY

Come on, guys, don't take things so damn seriously, it was a joke - and the 7 people escaped safely, so calm down.

I admit though, next time I should add at least three  Big grins behind every joke just to make sure you get it...

I believe it is a leased bird so I'd guess it has to be repaired for being returned to the owner.

Ndebele,

If you say something stupid, at least be man enough to admit it! Don't blame it on us  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone I know at DL TechOps...being the holidays and all.

Most likely, but I don't think we ever found out if it was damaged enough to be a writeoff(?)
