I'm sick and tired of all the negative posts on this board, be them about Flight Attendents or about Flights, so I'm starting two new ones. I would really appreciate it if everyone who flew this year could post at least one really great flight you were on last year. This way, we can keep to the true mission of this website, true enjoyment of the Avation world and all that it has to offer!

I'll start!!! My best flight this year was MRY-LAX-MRY on the first leg, I got to the airport in MRY early enough to catch the earlier flight, and even got a better seat than I had requested. On the return leg, even though it was delayed over an hour, I had excellent service by a flight attendent who offered to give a gentleman a ride home after negatively complaining to her that he may have missed his rental car due to the late arrival. She also got me all the soda I wanted (I was in the very last row) and also extra snacks. She was truely one of the nicest Flight Attendents I've encountered.

Please, please post only your best expierence flying in 2003!

Long live Aer Lingus, the Flying Shamrock!

My best flight this year was a CO flight from PHX-EWR on the Wed before Thanksgiving. Everything about the flight was great. From the check in personnel and gate staff in PHX to the in flight crew. First of all I was scheduled to be on CO134 at 4:05PM and got to PHX at 6AM and they put me on the 9:05AM flight to EWR. Major plus since I had not been home in a while and had been up all night to get to the airport. Then at the gate I asked for an emergency exit row and the guy at the gate started making jokes and telling me he would have to charge me extra or I would need to give him a Starbucks gift card. I thought that was pretty cool especially being the Wed before Thanksgiving. Once on the plane the flight crew were extremely nice. They had extra meals and were just walking up and down the aisles to see if anyone wanted them. They did about five beverage runs and made the flight great. The pilots were also joking around and had a great sense of humor. Then to top it all off the flight got into EWR about 45 minutes early. That's why I swear by CO. Not all flights are as great as this one but for the most part you are guaranteed a crew with a good attitude.

My best flight this year was on July 4, 2003 flying LAX-CUN on Alaska Airlines. I was in First Class, seated in 1C. Comfy seat, plenty of legroom, lots of complimentary wine, and a three course meal.

I had a few, but all of them were on Southwest Airlines. Big grin

I'd say the WN leg SLC-LAS, plus the LAS-SNA flight. SNA-LAS was fantastic as well because the captain, after the flight, invited me to come up and sit in the F/O seat. He took my digital camera and took a shot of me sitting there.

It was all good up until I camera bag fell over in that cockpit and I accidentally left some items behind....which caused me to worry about those items all during my next flight on WN LAS-SLC....making that flight much less enjoyable! Fortunately WN recovered most of what I had lost (very valuable to me), I still have all praises for WN for how much they helped me that day.

But still that was the first time I got to sit in a real 737-700 cockpit. Fantastic. Our captain was either british or australian too....accent.

LHR-JFK aboard an AA Boeing 777. I got to watch "Blue Crush," another movie which I forget about, I enjoyed a good meal, and I also loved checking out the maps of where we were on the TV's. The most awesome part of the flight was getting to look out of the window of the emergency exit door, and see the mountains of Iceland or Greenland....I'm not sure if it was either of these, but still, the view was awesome. Getting to look into the huge Rolls Royce Trent 892-17 engines was also cool. The Boeing 777 is a superb aircraft both on the exterior and interior, and I would give anything to fly it a third time (I flew BOS-LHR before returning on this flight).

Definitely SQ23 Sep 22/03 EWR-AMS-SIN followed by SQ62 Sep 24/03 SIN-BKK. From the check-in experience at Newark, the in-flight service, the ground staff in Amsterdam then again at Singapore, this was not only the longest flight of my life (literally, until the westbound leg a week later) but it was the best experience in many ways, all made possible by the excellent staff at SQ!

Meals were great and the IFE "Kris World" is as good as any (Have yet to experience the new "ICE" system on Emirates.) Props to the crew(s) on these flights and the staff at SQ! See you again in the Spring.

On a F9 flight from DEN to LAX, as we were lifting off of runway 25, a little girl across the isle piped up that she wanted to do that again. It made the whole flight to see a young child experience the wonders of flight.

March 10th I left Kunsan, South Korea on a World Airways MD-11. That was a very happy day and a great flight. We flew Kunsan to Seattle, Washington. It was a long flight, but World provided great service. The plane was only about 60% full so we had room to stretch out and the World flight attendants offered us extra meals. It was a nice and relaxing trip.

My best flight last year was on board PP-VBN, a vintage DC-3 that performs scenic flights over POA. Check-in was completely hassle-free and ever smiling stewardesses (not FAs) served champagne.

The cabin crew were some of the friendliest, most professional, yet most fun that I have ever met! This last Concorde flight to leave Canada is one that I will never forget.

SQ 326 SIN-FRA on Boeing 777 9V-SVK. Great plane, great F/A´s, good food, nice wine and a great IFE system made this flight really worth while. Even though I flew business from FRA to SIN on LH 778 I think the flight back on SQ was much better !

My best flight of '03 Air Tran #11 from ATL to SFO, operated by a Ryan International A320. The service in Buisness Class was not overly impressive (not too bad though), but the seats were huge and comfortable, and the view was stunning. It was the most relaxing, scenic flight i've been on in a long time.

Long haul, it was a return trip CDG-DXB-CDG in C with Emirates in FEB. Great food as usual, fantastic choice of video tapes (You have a menu with 50 movies, and the FA gives you the tape) and it was my first flight in a 777 !

Short haul: CDG-DUB-CDG with AF subsidiary Cityjet in Spt/Oct. Leather seats + hot meal on such a short flight. And I love the BAE family

LCC: My last flight with BUZZ: a BAE146 + the real coffee for a decent price
