Just a thought. Living in Upstate alot of us tend to enjoy winter retreats to the west coast of Florida. The only city you can fly into here on multiple LCC's is TPA. Granted TPA is about an hour fifteen-hour half drive from SRQ, there are alot of seniors who would probably jam pack an LCC into SRQ. RSW only has FL and is a larger market than SRQ and I think could handle an additional LCC. Besides RSW has no threat to route piracy unlike SRQ which is somewhat close. However I see potential at both airports and am surprised to see them so LCC underserved. Jsut my two cents. Opinions please???

DEN to RSW is a route that could take a few more flights a day too. I believe F9 is the only carrier that serves this market direct right now and every flight I have ever been on is totally full there and back. I have also seen people bumped on multiple occasions. RSW is a hot little place, thats where I would stick my money in the winter!

Both jetBlue and ATA fly into RSW and ATA also flies into SRQ. I'm not sure about Frontier. I imagine as soon as RSW's new terminal is completed and they have more gates, you'll also see Southwest in there.
Flying is the second greatest thrill known to mankind, landing is the first!
