HMY Expansion

I have herd that HMY is going to get some 767's and start flying to Asia. Does anyone know if its true and If so when. Does anyone know of anyother routes they might start.

Nothing is known for sure yet. Rumours say 767's, 777's, or even 747's. If they do expand to fly to Asia, I would put my money on the 767. They will also expand their fleet of 757's.

probably not. The 400 doesn't have nearly the range of the 200ER or 300ER. If HMY gets the 767, it would most likely be the 300ER.

I don't think there's anything concrete as of yet. But realistically, HKY has been changing plans every three months ever since they started operations.

They cancelled their flights out of YYC and YEG very shortly after they started.

HMY is adding more 757's to the fleet this year. HMY has indicated that they would be interested in the 767 and 777, the website (at one point) indicated that they were looking at 747's. I hear more talk/rumours about the 767 than anything else, but nobody is certain right now.

Probably used. They had pictures on their website at one point in time of a couple of their execs poking around a ex-Chinese 747 at where I assume is VCV or some other storage yard.......

I don't know about frequencies, but I know that San Fran and Flordia (I think?) were being discussed. The main focus is on starting Asian routes right now.

I've just read from the Vancouver Sun about 2 months ago saying that HMY wants to fly to HKG however it's not easy for them to get the slots , then they consider GuangZhou(Canton) -they are going to hv a brand new morden airport to compete with CLK- or Macau....
