According to an aviation website :
Kuwait Airways Is planning to replace Amsterdam with Athens on its Kuwait to Chicago O'Hare route effective 01Mar04.
Kuwait Airways is awaiting final US Gov't approval for this.
This is a very good move. Amsterdam has the O'Hare flights on its own, but Athens will definetly generate far more traffic on the Chicago route.
The Greek community in Chicago is huuuuuuuuuuuge (My big fat Greek wedding was filmed there I believe). And as far as I know Kuwait has better aircraft and service than Olympic. I also wonder whether Greek government has granted Kuwait the fifth freedom right on the Athens to Chicago. I guess they did , hence the move.

correct, My big fat greek wedding was filmed there but the actual book it took place in Toronto!
Other way around: the story was set in Chicago, but it was filmed in Toronto. Many movies that are set in the United States are filmed in Canada due to that country's lower production costs. Bloopers sometimes result; indeed, in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, a Canada Post truck can be seen in the background at one point.
