Not 4th of July, but I have seen fireworks from a commercial flight arriving in MCO. Many of the Orlando parks have regular firework displays.

Slightly OT, but is there any kind of restrictions on using Fireworks under the approach in very close proximity to the airport? I can see 'Rockets' and other Ariel fireworks been a problem. (?)

In Britain we use fireworks to mark the anniversary of the day that a chap called Guy Faulks tried to blow up our "Houses of Parliament". He failed unfortuneately.
About 10 years ago I was airbourne in a Piper PA-28 and saw fireworks come up to meet me! Fantastic sight. I was at 2000 ft and of course they got nowhere near, but still a unique way to enjoy the spectacle.

About a week ago actually. I was flying from ATL to RDU on an FL/ZW CRJ on New Year's Eve. The entire state of SC was covered in fireworks, especially around the Columbia metro.

Yes, but from a C-152. I went with a friend of mine and we circled the fireworks over the Detroit River this past summer. It was awesome! There were about 4-5 other GA planes circling, too. It wasn't too bad once another plane established a pattern, though. There were some faster ones that kept passing us (Damn Moony's  Smile ).

I saw them when I was coming over central London to LHR from SVO. It was early November (2003) and there were fireworks everywhere! It was really good, everyone was glued to the windows of either side of the plane.

Great seeing loads - and I mean loads! - of fireworks going off all over the place.  Big thumbs up

Yes. Once. Flying into Nashville in July '95 on a DL 737. The fireworks looked like pricks of light.

31st October 1999 and 31st October 2002, the first coming back from MIR on a Monarch A300, although I didnt' see many because I wasn't in a window seat... The second, on a BA 757 flying home from ATH, amazing.. So many fireworks over london whilst we were in the holding pattern for LHR!!!

Not on the 4th of July though, nowhere but the US celebrates their independence  Insane

Yes, two years ago while approaching DTM, I don't know why there was a firework but it looked nice.

Yes! 4th of July 2003, in and around Los Angeles. PHX-LAX right at dusk, and again about an hour later, LAX-PHL. Incredible scene with fireworks and downtown LA out the same window! Unforgettable.
