Does anyone think Grand Rapids might see the EMB 170 in the future?

Great looking pic above, but it looks almost fake, is that maybe cause the pic has been made larger?

The pic is real. I know the Engineer in Brazil that took it. As for it being a 'Fisher-Price 737'...the Embraer 170 is almost the exact same size as a 737-500.

Will the "Express" carriers for US Airways use 3 or 4 flight attendants in this aircraft?

It isn't the same size as a 737-500- not even close...this aircraft seats 70 people!!!! A 737-500 carries over 100 people (104 or 105 in CO config and 122 in WN all coach).... You can see even in the picture that the wingspan on this aircraft is much smaller. In terms of length, they are closer, but keep in mind this aircraft will have a 2-2 configuration vs. 3-3 for a 737. A 735 has about 19 or 20 rows in a mixed-class configuration and this 170 will have 17 or 18 rows for this 70-seat configuration, so their length is closer, but width and wingspan and weight of course the 735 is larger hands down. The Emb-170 aircraft will have 2 flight attendants.

So for most measurements (save Fuselage Width, which is the primary reason the 735 seats more, height overall, and wingspan) the two are within a few feet of another..I'd say it's definitely a fair comparison in regards to length and fuselage height, so that could be what Embqa means.

Well, it's all in the interpretation of the numbers, because I consider those numbers to be miles apart. The wingspan is nearly ten feet longer on the 735. That's not "almost the same." 5 feet taller, eight feet wider, and two feet taller. That's almost the same? Gee... If that's almost the same, then the 73G and the 738 must be exactly the same.
I think it's a neat plane. I am expecting the assets that US is selling is their entire fleet- they'll order a few more 190s and 170s and make an airline with them!

I HATE the livery, US needs to change it. It reminds me of a coffin for some reason. I just hate it, TED looks amazing compare to this nasty little thing.
(I do like the plane though!)

So Eurowhite and billboard fonts look better than that gorgeous and distinguished blue with red and white cheatlines? *Gag*. Give me USAirways over TEDEx (as the livery looks derivative of FedEx and indeed, the font looks the same).

As for the US Airways livery.....I think it's a great looking livery....it's not those white birds that we are seeing more and more.
I'd take the US livery over the TED livery anyday.....but thats just my opinion

I just noticed something.......the livery sais "US Airways Express".....I thought US Airways was going to be using the EMB 170 to replace some of the 737s, and operate the 170s under US mainline as opposed to Express. Could someone please clarify this? Thanks!
