Here's something new to see for those who are interested. Aeromexico brings their newest aircraft, the 737-700, to JFK from MTY & GDL around 2:20pm on Monday January 12th. And also, if you didn't know, Swiss has already started 340-300 service from ZRH and KLM's 777-200 from AMS late last month. I can't wait to see the South African 340-600 & Emirates 340-500 in the next couple of months. As well as the Singapore 340-500 into EWR.

Are the AM flights new service? Or just demo/test flights? They need to send a 737-700 to CVG daily, in my opinion.

peace and friendly skies to all

You would think that they would have daily service cause mty is a big business town. I know Mexicana flys to YVR I'm not sure if that's just a summer thing or what

RockyRacoon,
The JFK-MTY-GDL flights have been around for a while operated with various MD80's (M83, M88, M87). Looking at Aeromexico's schedule, It looks like they'll be flying the route for a long time with the 73G.

Great news. I am really happy that AM has started to replace its Mad Dogs with 737NG's. I am a fan of these aircraft, especially when painted with AM livery.

Due to load factors, I guess we will not see a non-stop MEX-JFK flight being operated with 737NG's, but rather with the tried and true 752's (one of the MTY-JFK flights using the 737NG actually originates in MEX as I understand). Nevertheless, I am very looking forward to flying soon to the U.S. on a new 737NG.

Do you think that AM will eventually stop flying to JFK and send its flights to EWR instead as a result of CO's joining SkyTeam? I don't know what to make of it. After all, DL has plenty of flights to U.S. cities, Canada and Europe departing from JFK so I am not sure if it is convenient for AM to do so.

Next flights: MEX-GRU (AM 77E), GRU-GIG (JJ A320), SDU-CGH (G3 73H), GRU-MEX (JJ A332).

LUV4JFK, I love your username!  Smile

I was so angry at myself because I was spotting under 13L on December 29th...For months I was waiting for that day because I knew KLM started 772 service then. And I had totally forgotten about it but gone to the airport anyway....And then when I heard the KLM flight landing on the other side of the airport on my scanner I was so angry at myself!  Smile

2004 is looking nice for JFK. Also, don't forget Thai Airways starting service as well as AF putting the 777-300ER on CDG-JFK. Is there a date for the South African A340-600s yet?
