I have been reading Pprune a lot recently and news has it that EMA management have been backwards and forwards to Dublin to MOL. Rumour has it that the following routes will be operated

EMA - HHN 2x Daily
EMA - DUB 2x Daily
EMA - CIA 1x Daily
EMA - BGY 1x Daily

This to start with then a poss route to Stockholm Skavsta???

Any info someone would like to share.

I say bog Easyjet off because they arent interested in EMA and thats from within Easy and bring FR in.

Regards

Stu

I'd like to see FR at EMA.

From a passenger's point of view it'd be great for me, I've booked some Ryanair flights to Dublin for next month, the prices are great, it'd be better if it was from EMA and not BHX. Ok, BHX isn't the other side of the world, but the nearer the better  Smile

Ryanair always seem to have the best prices, bringing these prices (hopefully) to EMA would be good.

EMA is too near to BHX and would affect FR services from BHX, and BmiBaby is too strong at EMA.

FR would only be competing on the Dublin route with BHX. All others arent served from BHX with FR. Again even at EMA there are no flights to Germany so HHN would be fine. CIA there are no flights to Rome at the moment, Bergamo is not daily and dont think it is operated over the summer and Dublin has been reduced for the summer season so whats the problem and they wouldnt reall be competing against bmibaby at the moment

B738s fill quicker at BHX hence more profit for FR.

The market for FR is deffinately present at EMA, and i doubt they'd have trouble filling their planes from there. Remember Ryanair fly to Dublin from Liverpool and Manchester - only 30 miles between those two airports, so I don't think the fact that BHX is an hour away would deter Ryanair at all if EMA proposed an attractive deal.

I'd like to see them at EMA also, as it might give bmibaby a kick up the backside and get them to lower some fares which are often overpriced even when booking months in advance.

However, with the possibility of even more people passing through EMA, that airport is going to burst in the morning rush unless they extend the 'terminal'.

EMA is not too near BHX I don't think, the populations of Nottingham, Derby and Leicester would definatelly not want to travel to brummie land if they could go from East Midlands.

It would be great if FR came into EMA, and at least their fares are actually low cost - have you seen bmibaby! I would definitely consider booking with them if they came to EMA.

I agree, I would much rather go to EMA than BHX. I'm sure thousands of people agree  Big grin

WW's prices are very high for a low-cost carrier. Has the FR flight from Liverpool to Brussels Charleroi been cut in favour of the new LPL - GRO flight?

Thanks KLM exel, was this because of poor loads? I doubt if LPL-GRO will do well, the timings are awful compared with easyJet, who fly to the main airport in Barcalona.

I guess the feeling will be the same around the region if Ryanair come to EMA. Would be great if we could get them bmibaby are taking the mickey with some of their fares but some are still reasonable.
