Has anyone already experienced the new seats ? What is the feeling to be reclined on take-off ? Has service improved ? Better than BA flat bed seats ?

You can have that feeling now! Upper Class Suites can be fully reclined on takeoff and landing.

I was on the Suite on Saturday, flying back from SFO on the VS20.

Reclining - with my feet up on the ottoman - during take off and landing was a new, and very pleasurable experience! None of this sitting bolt-upright for 45 minutes while circling above Heathrow waiting for a slot...

As for sleeping, I was out like a light and didn't wake up until 1/2 hour before we landed. Never slept so well on an aircraft ever.

As for service - and this might have just been a lucky day - but the crew were great. Very friendly, nothing too much trouble (even my request for a coffee when I woke up, even though we were on the approach).

Loved the flight. Adored the beds.

Pix.
