A330-321 F-WWKH (Cn 42) built in 1993 with a total airframe time of 360hrs was on a test flight on 30JUN94 at TLS as part of the preparation required for the certification of the Pratt & Whitney equipped Airbus A330 autopilot to Cat. III standards. Besides 3 crew there were 4 pax also on board all of whom were killed in the accident.
During take off at TOGA power, to test one of the system modifications, there was a change in the attitude of the aircraft to a higher pitch than intended. Several attempts to engage the autopilot and correct the situation were unsuccessful primarily due to conflicting inputs from the Captain and the F/O. The aircraft ultimately went out of control and crashed.
Hope this helps.
