Islamabad-Oslo and Karachi-Lahore-Oslo are the routings, previously there was another stop at Copenhagen, equipment remains an A310-300.

Is there enough demand for these flights? Do Norway and Denmark have that big a Pakistani population? Is it mainly business traffic or predominantly tourists/visitors on this flight?

PIA has 3 weekly flights from Oslo to Pakisatn. 1 nonstop to Islamabad, and 2 via CPH to Karachi/Lahore.

More info here: http://www.piac.com.pk/flight_planner/default1.asp

The flights between Oslo, Norway and Pakistan is very much popular.

Quite strange routing if you ask me - but then again, if they have a stronger presence at OSL than they do at CPH, then they should by all means switch around.

Also, I think that some people have been using the flight CPH-OSL & return to try a new and exciting carrier instead of SAS, and thus they have taken seats from passengers who would otherwise have flown OSL-CPH-ISL.

A third option could be that their reputation have been damaged by the exposure of so-called "ethnical" prices, where a person with a Pakistani background could get a trip CPH-Pakistan in Y for around half of what a person with a non-pakistan background would have to pay for C!
