I guess we can expect CO, KL and NW to join SkyTeam very soon (perhaps simultaneously). KL will join as a result of the AF acquisition. CO has already entered into codeshare agreements with AM (and maybe DL?) and an announcement is expected soon. It just seems logical that NW will join too.

That's a no brainer question.
If AF the parent company is the chief member of the alliance, why would anyone doubt that KLM would not be part of the alliance.....

What remains to be seen is whether the antitrust authorities in Europe and US will allow the three US airlines (DL, CO and NW) to participate in the alliance...

It is not a quick process. NW and CO have yet to be invited to SkyTeam.
That is the bad part, it is a slow process. I remember when CSA and Alitalia joined, it took forever. It might be mid/late 2005 before CO and NW have the logos on their planes!

Yep, they will. It is part of their marriage with AF.
NW will join Sky Team too. About the rest of KLM partners, only the future will tell, but I think all will join soon ( CO, CZ, MH, KQ, MP and those I forgot)

Latest news I have read is that KL will join Skyteam in April 2004. I think it is was written in the Frequence Plus newsletter or was featured on the http://www.skyteam.com website.
