Well what about Air Tahiti Nui??? I quoted a few fares from Paris to LA and the cheapest on coach came to 800 €. Meaby I wasn´t lucky searching for their fares, who knows?

Icarus75,
Sorry folk but I said Paris - LA, California (LAX), meaby I wasn´t to clear.
I quoted another fare again from CDG-LAX and excluding taxes, it came to 755 Euro. I think It´s a bit too expensive, much cheaper with AF for example.

In my experience as a poor starving college student, I have found that AS is extremely expensive to fly out of FAI, especially after Delta pulled out of its service up here a couple years ago. During the one week that students flock out of the dorms for winter break and the one return week AS charges upwards of $800 to fly roundtrip from FAI-LAX. When Delta was here, it cost less than half that. The fares aren't so bad for the summer migration, as tourists are starting to arrive and NW provides a little competition.
Sorry...didn't want to start on my tirade against AS. They are reasonably priced when you don't have to fly out of FAI.
