Well Sammy123,

I live in Malaga and I remember seen the DC10´s a few months ago, not anymore. I guess they´ve probably gone to Madrid to be used as Cargo planes but I don´t know for sure.

When I landed at Malaga in the Summer (August) the BMIbaby pilot said that we had to wait for a Iberia plane (which was a DC10) to be towed across the taxi way to be fitted with new engines...

Any idea?

Regards...

Chris

Sammy123,

I believe that Iberia's original intent was to either scrap them or sell them once they had all been retired. But I don't know what the status of this plan is right now.

They might be scrapped by now! Iberia already torn a B747 classic into peaces, so the DC10 might follow, but not sure...

I don't see them in Madrid either. All I see in Madrid when i go there every week are a couple of DC9's in IB colours near the hangars. No more DC10's in sight there!
