Busiest Transatlantic Route

I guess JFK-LHR, gets or used to get this dinstinction, but there many others.

The engine is the heart of an airplane, but the pilot is its soul.

Flight wise all most certainly London-New York rather than just specifically JFK-LHR !
Operators LHR-JFK BA (upto 6 daily) VS ( several daily) AA (several daily)
UA (Several daily) AI (daily) KU (daily)
Plus BA LHR-EWR (2 daily) plus either US or AA I think plus VS (daily)
Plus LGW-Ewr CO upto 4 daily plus VS (CO/VS code share on this route !)
Further search as this topic is cyclic about every 10 days on the forum anyway !

The busiest trans-Atlantic routes from the US, not in terms of O&D, but in terms of passengers carried for the period of Mar01 through Feb02, are:

1) NYC-LHR
2) LAX-LHR
3) ORD-LHR
4) NYC-CDG

Among the busiest trans-Atlantic routes are:
LAX-CDG, SFO/BOS/IAD-LHR, ORD/IAD/JFK-FRA, MIA-MAD/LHR, MCO-LGW, DTW-AMS

Without even researching, I will stick my neck on the chopping block and say LHR - JFK is the busiest transatlantic route. I cannot see any other route coming even close to that one. Additionally, NYC (JFK, EWR) - LONDON (LHR, LGW) I think is the busiest metro area combination.

BA operates LHR-JFK seven times daily and LHR-EWR twice daily (+ a five times weekly flight). Better frequency than a lot of its S/H routes!

At present I don't think any carriers operate LGW-JFK and only CO operates LGW-EWR (VS having switched its service to LHR).
