A while back there was direct YYZ-LBSF service with Balkan airlines but after they went bankrupt, it stopped.
What are the chances of Balkan Airtours restarting the Toronto-Sofia Route? There are a great number of Bulgarians in Toronto who now have to get through an array of choices for which cities to go through.

I think sevice to Sofia was cut long before Balkan went under, and I dont think it lasted very long. I would imagine that any such service would be mainly VFR, and as such would probably only warrent a seasonal operation using something along the lines of a 757, or 73NG. As it stands there are quite a number of options for people flyng this route, inlcuing YYZ-KBP, YYZ-WAW, YYZ-BUD, YYZ-PRG, and YYZ-VIE all offering good prices including the connecting flight.
