I just wanted to share a positive comment on an airline, for a change.
To make a long story short (the long one will be a trip report with pics when screening will resume), I tried out MyTravelLite between BHX and DUB and was very impressed. On-time departures, very clean interior, adequate seat spacing and pitch, seat pockets (FR take note)as well as friendly cockpit and cabin crews that aren't allergic to pics. Oh, and their stated flying times are not doctored, unlike FR.
Needless to say, my next BHX outings will be VZ and not FR.
Hope that they will sort out their recent financial difficulties.
So if any VZ employees are reading this, and keep up the good work.

Well I liked MyTravel Lite too when I flew on their inaugural service from DUB-BHX. However, they managed to arrive over half an hour late (not a good start) I was first onboard and I was greeted by nobody the crew were talking to each other in the rear of the cabin. They must have had a lot to talk about because the cabin wasn't to clean. The only thing that made it for me was the A320 aircraft.
I would fly them again but not over Ryanair. I could have flown FR that day for less than half the MyTravel price.
So 2 weeks later I flew with Ryanair DUB-BHX. Their flight left DUB 5 minutes early. The flight was 737-200 and was full apart from the empty seat beside me. It was to be my friends but he bailed on me the night before we were to go. So 129 out of 130 pax compared to 37 out of 180.
The crew were very nice and helpful (as Ryanair's young crew always are). FR have 5 flights a day compared to VZ 2 flights. Obviously for me FR make a lot more sense coz I go on day trips.
