They bring back business class back on short haul flights after they have noticed that a lot of people don't appreciate to pay for their sandwich/coffee while paying a full fare.

About time, despite the growth in LCC's and lack of frill's,many people are still prepared to pay the extra to have a decent lounge to wait in and food/drink on the plane without paying.

Actually, the Jumbolinos still have C cabins (although they're honestly quite a joke as they are the same as the Y seats). They're bringing them back on the S20 and the ER4.
And as a side topic, this Swiss in Europe catering concept has not been thought out or implemented too well. On flights longer than 70 mins, you get the full "Swiss in Europe" service (i.e., everything for sale - all food, soft drinks and even water). However, on shorter flights less than 70 mins (i.e., ZRH-MXP/MUC/FRA/STR), they "regret that they are unable to offer the Swiss in Europe concept" - instead the f/as go around the cabin serving you FREE WATER from a big Evian bottle! Go figure!
Also, it's a little pathetic that they can't even provide some of the basics such as water, tea, and coffee for free. Even the U.S. LCCs (not exactly known for their full service) such as Song, provide complimentary soft drinks. I often feel bad for the wonderful Swiss f/as who have to deal with irate passengers annoyed at paying 3-4CHF for a cup of tea in a plastic cup...
