Yes - the DC-10 is a nice aircraft and have had the pleasure of flying on many over the years all of which have been Northwest DC-10's actually! What always impressed me was the spaciousness of the cabin (no overhead bins in the centre).

I think the most notable feature is the large windows ( while we are on the subject of windows - don't you think the windows on Airbus aircraft in general are small or is it just me? ) I'm always reminded with NW as there is a high chance of having a connecting flight with NW on an Airbus aircraft from their main gateway's of DTW and MSP (after flying transatlantic on their DC-10's, of course!)

I use to be quite partial to the L1011 as well when Delta use to have them - I always seemed to end up on one flying to MCO from ATL!

It would have to be the UA Classic 747-200's and their DC-10's. I especially loved the original F Class in the nose of the 742 configured for international. I have even flew on their 742 in a domestic two-class config. between HNL-LAX in the 80's on the upper deck. I loved the paint job on these, predominately white. Anybody remember the UA 742 named JUSTIN DART? Anyone else flew on it? I would love to know.

I guess people are not that keen abt. 744 anymore. But I think it's a cool airplane with a great Upper Deck, atleast till A380 comes out.  Pissed
I think 744 has a much better shape (nose and wings than A380(graphics)).

B767-200 and B767-300

Quite possibly the most perfectly-balanced aircraft to look at from the outside.

2-3-2 coach seating layout is the nicest available in a wide-body.

Nicely designed cabin - nothing annoying or unpleasant to look at for a flight of several hours. Too bad Boeing adopted bulbous 'Airbus-looking' cabins for the 767-400 and 777.

And I'd actually put the A340 on my top ten list, even though I've never had the pleasure of flying on it. Looks 707-ish. And that's pretty cool!
