Two of them actually. One was a Cathay I flew in from Vancouver to Hong Kong in 1994, and C-FCRA of Canadian in 2000 cuz of the awesome proudwings paint job. Auntie had to pry me away from the glass, since I didn't wanna stop looking at it after we got off.

I have had 21 flights on Boeing 747-400. My first 744 flight was in 1992 from CPH via ZHR to SIN onboard a Singapore Airlines "Megatop". My last 744 was also onboard a SIA 744, from BKK to SIA.

But as I said, I have had 21 "rides" on this great bird. In October I will go to Perth from LHR via SIN. Both flights will be on QF 744's.

Here are the different 744 I have flown on:

SO I WILL GO FOR ANOTHER 744 FLIGHT.

ANA B747-400 New First Class. From JFK to BKK via NRT. For me it was superior than SQ's First in comfort, cuisine, and service. I have determined to say Sayonara to UA on transpacific flights notwithstanding of my most prized elite status on their very generous frequent flyer program.

Hi!

I have only been on two 744s because I tend to take the flight that is served by an Airbus or a 767 or even a 777 with two seats on the window sides. I just don't like the cramped there abreast seating there.
Anyway, my flights were in 1992 from JFK-AMS with KLM and from YYZ-FRA in 2002 with Lufthansa. I liked Lufthansa new seats but we had to sit at the gate for almost two hours because the crew decided to not decide whether to take one of the suitcases on board or not.
So there we were. Without A/C. It was getting hot and sticky in there.
Not too pleasant.
The KLM flight though was great!

Air New Zealand flight NZ19 FRA-AKL in Pacific Class (Economy).
The last leg NAN-AKL was the best. The sun was rising as we took off and it was a beautiful smooth flight across the Pacific. Had great food, good music to listen to and the wonderful feeling that I had once again made it to the other side of the world (plus I would see my girlfriend again after 5 months...).
Just a really excellent feeling overall.

Hi!

My best flight in a 744 was in the 27 July 2001 from PHL to LHR with BA. The plane was G-BYGG still with Worldtail "Rendez-Vous" and all I can say is that the most memorable flight I had. The landing was absolutely fantastic, the plane was almost new and LHR was sunny than ever!!!
Last 15th. December I was waiting to board SWISS 343 HB-JMC at LAX when I saw a BA 744 comming to the gate close to our flight, guess what plane it was? Yes BA 744 G-BYGG! Only this time no longer with the "Rendez-Vous" tail!
regards

I've started a thread on this one because it was imho very memorable:

FRA-JFK, mid-November 2003, LH 744 "Tango Lima", no other names so far, the newest LH 744 in the fleet. Memorable because of

1. the extremely low noise level, close to A 340 level, which is very low, indicating that Boeing has indeed done something to reduce noise levels...very good!!!

2. the go around upon arrival in JFK, just seconds before touchdown, extremely well done by Captain Martin Koehler (hope I remember the name correctly), very smooth and elegant, a pleasure for any aviation fan like myself to witness.

I know it's only VfB but I like it!

Has to be Air New Zealand 747-400 LHR-SYD. Transit stop LAX. Everything fantastic from checkin to deplaning in SYD. The reverse was just as good. Brilliant and friendly crews, fine food, excellent wine and the comfort of Business Class. You cannot beat this airline for service, but I understand that they are removing F class? May have to try it before it happens.

Well, I'm not too sure about the best 744 I've flown on but for sure the worst for me was a Swissair 744 flight from ATL to ZRH. Horrible turbulence, bad flight crew, and smelly aircraft.
