I already knew that French was the world official language for Ballet, Car Racing -Formula One- Cuisine, International Mail, I must forget many more of these. But tonight I accidentally found the origin of "Mayday" and "Pan, Pan, Pan"...

Was I the only one left behind and not knowing this  Smile ???????

A good reason for not bashing the French anymore (for those of you who enjoy it so much)

Well you are sure not the first to find this out. Actually it was discussed a couple weeks ago.

But hey! Don't feel bad. I just realized recently that "parliament" was French. And BTW, there is very little French spoken in NASCAR. (just the occasional "Labonte")
