My mum has just confused me! Her boss is flying to Jamaica tomorrow and according to him he is flying from LHR to Kingston(could be Montego Bay?) on BA but don't BA only operate this route from LGW? Could it be he is wrong and is infact going from LGW or that he is flying another airline, Air Jamaica? or his flight a codeshare? Help me! I hate being confused! Smile

That would be my guess. After running a quick check, the only thing I'm seeing is a flight out of LHR to MIA, that connects to a codeshare on Air Jamaica. I think maybe your wife's boss is confused. The first flight is on BA, and the second is on Air Jamaica. So possibly that's it.

BA2263 / Dep: LGW 12:10PM / Arr: KIN 05:15PM / A/C: B-777-200
This flight operates on Mon, Wed, and Fri.

BA2262 / Dep: KIN 07:15PM / Arr: LGW 08:50AM +1 / A/C: B-777-200
This flight operates on Mon, Wed, and Fri.

This and most of the other routes to the Caribbean depart from LGW. One of the exceptions is NAS (and GCM & PLS via NAS).

Please tell them not to show up at LHR. The next flight to KIN will be on FRI, if they do not make the one on WED. Big grin

Have a look at the tickets!!!

AAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhh!! Wow! good grief BCAInfoSys since when did my Mother become my wife!! Wow!

Also, back on topic, I take it the JM flight from LHR operates tomorrow. Another possibility is that his flight from EDI arrives into LHR but flight to Jamaica is from LGW?

Why would he want to fly EDILHR when there is an excellent connection EDILGW for the BA flight!

Don't worry about it - the story is far too vague . . . !

According to my mum he sounded very sure he was going from LHR to Jamaica, Kingston I think on BA and he's the man with the tickets. He could just be getting the codes mixed up. LGW and LHR.

Passenger tickets show actual airport names - for the benefit of the uninitated!

Leave it to him - he thinks he knows where he's going - stop worrying!

Let us know how the story ends!

If it is BA, then the flight CANNOT be from LHR. BA flights to KIN, as BA0001Concorde said, departs from LGW. Secondly, if it is BA, then he HAS to be arriving in KIN, since BA no longer flies MBJ. If he is "sure" it's LHR, then it has to be a JM flight, which usually serves KIN or MBJ.

Tomorrow's flight, JM002 (according to their website) departs LHR at 12.40PM, arrives MBJ at 6.05PM and continues to KIN, arriving there at 7.15PM.

Here we are, 12 hours after the previous posting, and seven hours from the JM and BA flights, and wondering what happened, having made so much effort to be of help! Any news, Scottish Laddie?

Sorry for keeping you all in such suspense! Smile In the end my Mum's boss was wrong about flying from LHR and was infact flying from LGW on the 1220(?) BA flight to Kingston. He will now be oblivous of the chaos he has left behind at LGWSmile
