I have had multiple requests to do one... so here she is... the first in a series of retrojets I will do to celebrate UA's past before the new livery is official.  Smile

More can be found you know where!

I think UA should do an airplane with the stars and bars, like they did with N7001U right before they retired it.

Oh, Hass! Thank you! That is such a sight for these bankruptcy-sore eyes! What a beauty she would be, eh? If only THIS were our "new" color scheme!

Thank you for giving so freely of your free time! Now, get back to work with your airline mgt. studies. You should be at 1200 E. Algonquin by now!

Finally, now that is a classy look.

I was hoping for the 75th someone at WHQ would have approved this but I was diappointed. We should clamor for something like this for the 80th anniversary.

I actually thought a good idea would be to dress up one plane from each of the fleets in a different time periods colors. A320 in 80's livery, 747 in early seventies, and so on.

nice job Hass

The 747-100's were in the pre 74 livery.

I think the A319/320 would look cool in the post 74 livery.

Very cool...thanks Hass for doing it! I remember the Blue Star pre-'74 livery well from my childhood in Rochester. An A320 or 777 would look really cool in that one too.  Smile

Sheesh, everyone loves the stars and bars. I never really liked it... till I saw it on the 777  Smile

Is everyone else seeing the images as all jaggedy?

I guess it must be the updated forum software which restricts the size.

The link to the rest of the images is, in case you didn't notice it on the plane or in my profile, http://united.imkeww.com

That's awesome.

I sincerly hope someone from WHQ sees these. And I hope they have the power to make it reality for the 80th anniversary.

I love the look on the 777. It won't happen though. The folks at WHQ do not feel nostalgia has any part in running UA.
