I know most of you don't like rumors, but I heard from a reliable source here in IAH that CO will start to fly non-stop to BOI. This new service is supposed to start up in the next few months. They will be using the XRJ-145 by Continental Express. More info as it comes available.

Wasn't it CO that got in a tiff a few years back with the Idaho Governor over some billboards around the country? I think the billboard read ONEPASS gets you to Honolulu or Paris and not just to Boise.. the Governor Cecil Andrus retorted with yes, on Continental 79 people wanted to fly from Denver to Boise, and Continental crashed the plane at Stapleton and killed 18 of them.

Hey SprxflySWA, what did American Eagle's rampers do? Are you guys still at 15 and 17, and what's the new gate? I used to work for western aircraft there, always enjoyed working with you SouthWest guys, you were almost the only ones on the field who had your stuff together.

It was the station mgr (first one) and one other that were the unethical ones. Selling buddy passes, taking "unauthorized withdrawals". The ramp side was mostly AOK. Especially this one hot chick that would give you a nice show when bending over in the bin while loading the bin!
Yes, we still have 15 and 17. The new jetway was put in next to fire escape stairwell between 17 and then gate 19. New jetway is now 19, old 19 is now 21. we use 19 for 3rd RON and any delayed/diverted trips. UAX/Skywest also utilizes it for some SFO trips. North American on Sat AM for 757 trip to GEG-OGG.

F9 (Operated by QX) uses Gate 14; next to NW, across from UA. They rearranged at the end of B. Now there is a Gate 21. The "new" gate is 19 which has a jetway which seems to be used by WN mostly. I rarely venture to that end of the terminal so someone else may have a better description. We were told before AS service begun to BOI that 19 would be an AS gate. That never happened and the AS jet parks in the ground load area for QX.
As far as Continental goes - I've always thought it would be a nice addition but I don't know if its feasible at the moment. I was quite surprised when AA Eagle pulled out so quickly. But its been mentioned that they had some problems. I don't know myself, but I do recall one day waiting for a QX flight which eventually cancelled, there were several peculiar announcements for AA Eagle representatives to make a presence at gate 19. How embarassing.

I can tell you why AE bailed quick low loads, then on top of that making fuel stops in den and okc, why bother with a direct flight when you have to stop, might as well take delta and get ff miles for the stop !!
plus the 2 times I flew and we made fuel stops both times, there were 5 (2 flight attendants 2 pilots and me) and 7 people on the flight resepectively, couldn't be making too much money!!
