NWA At LIT

Over the past year or so NWA has Added flights to Detroit and service starts March 29th for service to MSP I was wondering if anyone thinks NWA will expand more into LIT getting more service to and from LIT tho I think they will be limited to how much more they can expand seeing that NWA only has one gate anyone have any Info or opinions?

NW is very conservative on how they expand their network. They will only add frequencies to and from MSP, DTW, and MEM if it is absolutley needed. As the industry recovers, I think it is possible that a few more flights will be added from LIT to some or all of the three hubs.

However, I would doubt if NW would begin to offer any point to point service from LIT, because it has never been a real big city for NW.

As far as the CRJ's in Little Rock are concerned, they will never be flying anywhere but to DTW, MEM, and MSP. Unless NWA's pilots change the scope clause in their contract to allow Airlink carriers to fly from an outstation to another outstation you will never see a CRJ going anywhere but back to a hub.

NWA Airlink does the LIT to DTW route and LIT to MSP on a CRJ-200 and the LIT to MEM route is done by NWA on a DC-9

I knew that the pilot contract limited the number of RJ under 70 seats in realtion to the number of mainline jets. I didn't know it also prohibited non-hub flying.
