Just got back from a 10 day trip through the Pacific, flying MH 777's and 747's and I'd have to say without a doubt that I reccomend the 777's. Having flown on several other 777's (UA, CO, SQ, NH) the MH ones are very well configured, excellent movie selections on PTV, 34 inch pitch throughout economy (which really makes a difference!) and pneumatic lumbar support in all seats. If you have a chance, request row 29 or 12, as these are the "bulkhead" seats in both Y sections of the plane. I had 29 on the way back, and with the flip-up PTV screens and generous recline (for Y), you could almost imagine you were up in Business. Didn't fly on their a330's, but the 777 definately stood out over the 747 (which seemed more cramped). Never having had the chance to fly MH before, I must say I was very impressed, and would not hesitate to fly them again. For anyone interested, routing was PVG-KUL-MEL-SYD (Qantas)-AKL (Air NZ)-KUL-PVG.

If you like middle seats in business class you´ll prefer the 777. Well some people like that food & crew compensates for the limmited leg room/recline ..
If you have an aisle seat in B777 economy on the 5 seater (as I had once) the risc is that you are woken up constantly by people wanting to go to the lav. Half way the flight I offered to take the middle seat in order to have a decent sleep...
Legroom, lumbar support and recline is economy is great, you can even have a real sleep.
Those RR Trents are quiet loud on the 777 when you are in business I think..
