Hi everyone,
I am supposed to fly out to Durango, CO from NYC in August of this year. So far- the only fare I find is for $500 on United. I don't see any other carriers come up. My question- what carriers fly in and out of Durango? Is it possible to get a low fare? Also- is there an alternative airport with an LCC or cheaper flights? I really don't know the area out there well and was hoping one of you all could provide some light!

CO flies to MTJ, which is a few hours drive away. http://durangoairport.com/ is probably the best place to find info. Looks like HP serves the airport year round as well.
Farmington, NM is probably the closest airport, served by HP from PHX, DEN on F9 or UA (operated by Great Lakes), or ABQ by Mesa.
