THanks to Maiznblu 757 for providing us with a really interesting thread. Having noticed that all bar 2 of the replies to his post are US airports, I would like to know which BBB airports that are NOT in the US you can think of.
Much harder... But Rio de Janeiro SDU springs to mind. Varig and VASP 737s, TAM Airbusses, that's all. Also I am sure some Austrialian airports would qualify - I've never been, but do places like BNE or PER or Canberra see many more things than QF and VirginBlue? BNE has the odd intercont flight, but that must be all.

I think DXB fits the bill - it is packed because of Emirates with precious little to do. BAA (with financial rather than pax in mind) has it right with lots of retail - especially for transfer pax who have 2+ hours to kill. Lounge access doesn't help too much now-a-days because they have so many people in them.
