Thai 777 Seating

Can anyone comment on TG's seating configuarations for their 772's and their 773's? I would have expected the coach sections to be similar. However, the 772 appears to be 3-4-3 while the 773 is 3-3-3. Don't these planes share the same width fuselage? Why did TG configure them differently?

Thai first took deliver of the 777-200s and had them configured in a 3-4-3 configuration. When they took delivery of the 777-300s, people probably had complained about the cramped space and the -300 were to fly longer routes so therefore it has the 3-3-3 seating in economy. Thai is now in the process of changing the -200s to the 3-3-3 configuration also. Should be complete on all 8 aircraft by the end of 2004.

I was one of those unhappy passenger to complain of TG's cramp configuration. Well, according to them they said they planned to reconfigure the seats just like what The777man said.

Flew UA on the 25Jan AMS-IAD and plan on flying KL 777 JFK-AMS on the Feb 14 and then VN 777 SGN-HAN on Feb 20.

Thai only has 8 772s? When I flew on one of the Thai 772s a year ago I was in the section of 4 seats, but has an empty seat next to me, so the configuration didn't bother me.
