American Eagle Announces New Service to Santa Barbara
Friday February 6, 11:03 am ET
FORT WORTH, Texas, Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- American Eagle announced today it will begin new service between Dallas/Fort Worth and Santa Barbara, Calif., beginning April 4. The carrier will operate one round trip per day between the cities with the popular 70-seat CRJ-700 regional jet.
"Adding service to Santa Barbara is a great opportunity for us to strengthen our West Coast presence," said American Eagle President Peter Bowler. "Our new nonstop flight will shorten travel times for Santa Barbara- area travelers bound for Dallas/Fort Worth or hundreds of connecting destinations throughout South and Central America, the Eastern U.S. and Europe."
The schedule for the Dallas/Fort Worth - Santa Barbara service is as follows. Flights will be available for sale on Sunday, Feb. 8.

I believe that they also flew DFW-SBA in the early to mid 90's with a S80.

Yeah, this is good enws for SBA flight and it would be flying on their CRJ-700 aircraft and this is good move for American Eagle. So is that was only for 1 daily roundtrip nonstop? Thanks!

This is great news. I used SBA airport over last summer. Airport is a gem - beats the heck out of going to LAX and boarding a bus or Amtrak. The DFW connection is smart - lots of traffic to Europe, lots of traffic to South of the Border. This is a smart move. BUT, doesn't seem like they are maximising their utilisation of the aircraft here. Arrives 740pm and departs out of SBA at 635am?
