I saw a topic here a while ago, about airlines that fly 757s from Europe to North America... If I'm not mistaken, Finnair, used to fly their 757 from Helsinki to Toronto, instead of the MD-11. I thought it to be a bit strange. I remember I flew to Helsinki in 1999 on a Finnair MD-11... aparently, after that they changed it to 757

For several years, Finnair use to to fly from Helsinki to KFLL with a fuel stop in BGR on the 757. The last year or two they operated this flight, you could actually purchase a ticket to originate in BGR going either to FLL or back to Helsinki.
Finnair even had a check in desk at Bangor if my memory serves me correct.

Yes, you're right Pwm2txlhopper, thank you,

They did fly to KFLL. Flying on a 757 across the pond? Oh, it can be worse  Smile You can fly JARO 707 (nightmare).

Ive crossed twice on Icelandair with the stop in Keflavic. From one point of view, as far as comfort and seat space I dont see that the economy seat in the 757 is any different then one in a 747. However, time and time again I pay the higher fare out of Boston just so I can get on the widebodies. Crossing the pond just isnt the same on a 757 even if its just in your head.

Other 757 trans Atlantic operators into FLL have included Air Belgium, Sterling and Blue Scandinavia in addition to most of the British charter operators going into Sanford. Condor also operated the 757 into FLL alongside the DC-10 and 767.

My definition of cool ? Not trying so hard to be cool.

BA does not fly BOS-MAN.

A few 757 routes missed up there include:

CLE-LGW (CO)
YYZ-JFK-BHX (BA)
EWR-DUS (CO)

Apart from the CLE-LGW route, the above do not operate any longer.

CO will start EWR-EDI with a 757 in JUne.

It flies a 767 to BRU, not a 757 (although it did in the past). Same with the AMS route.

TWA flew JFK-LIS and JFK-BCN with 757's toward the end of its days.

All Icelandair flights to the USA are on 757's and have been since the early 1990's.

BA has also done JFK-BFS and BOS-BFS in the past. Were they operated with 757, 767, or VC-10 aircraft?

Hi

I don't think BA flew JFK-BFS with a 757. But TZ did a scheduled JFK-BFS-RIX service, only lasted one summer.
