Does any airline or carrier hub at Vegas"LAS" and do airlines ever use LAS as a connecting airport? Is Reno Air still around?

Las Vegas-McCarran Int. Airport is the secondary hub for America West behind Phoenix and yes is used as a connecting point.

I doubt it, most carriers back east connect in LAX, Cleveland, Boston etc, then fly to Vegas. Vegas isn't really a connecting type of place, you are flying there for one reason. PARTY!!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

LAS is a hub/connecting point for HP and WN. Several charter companies, like Worry Free Vacations, use it as a "hub" as well (e.g. WFV's flight to HNL). And Reno Air was purchased by AA in 1998...

American bought Reno Air in 1998, and merged QQ into AA in late 1999. American offers some connections in LAS to SJC and LAX from places like STL.

WN's LAS operation and their PHX operation go back and forth for the title of WN's biggest hub. Currently, I think it's PHX. Allegiant also has connections in LAS from the Midwest to Fresno.

Both DL and UA have sizeable ops in LAS, so it's conceivable you could connect there, although not likely.

Reno Air has been purchased by American Airlines.

Allegiant Airlines claims Las Vegas as its "operational" hub.

America West functions as a hub airline. However, do keep in mind that America West HQ is in Phoenix.

Southwest Airlines has nearly 200 flights a day out of Las Vegas.

Other notable service to Las Vegas includes:

LAS is most definitely a connecting hub for both America West and Southwest. As of late last year, Southwest had over 180 flights a day from Las Vegas. America West is second with about 120.

Yeah, it would be very good for their hub in LAS and I was flew on Southwest Airlines to LAS flight from last year of May 2003. It is very nice place to see in LAS and I been gone for very long time since I was 16 years old with my mom visit in LAS for same-day roundtrip. It was very wonderful to see in LAS. Maybe we can able go to LAS later in the month. Thanks!  Smile

I work at LAS, HP and WN have the biggest operations and this is a big hub city for them. I handle Hawaiian Airlines and sometimes we have 2 containers
LD8's full of connecting bags. So yes, this is a party town but also serves as a connecting city to points North, South and West
